The skin-sloughing process of snakes symbolizes the transmigration of souls, the snake biting its own tail is a fertility symbol. "The snake is the symbol of fertility, Kundalini, Shakti energy and transformation. It is often depicted as the ouroboros or snake eating its own tail in renewal of life. In the story of Adam and Eve, told within Genesis in the Bible, a serpent approached Eve and told her to eat fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden, the one tree that God had told the couple not to eat from. Eve was like the ouroboros snake before she ate this fruit, she was at One with God and happily living with Adam. The story goes that evil entered this world when Eve made the mistake of eating the fruit. This narrative made the principle of woman the principle of all evil. This story is very outdated don’t you think? Imagine what would have happened if Eve had never seen that snake? Eve’s desire to eat the fruit with Adam led to the archetypal story of our fall from grace into duality and experience of polarity. This merge back into Oneness is our way back home to God.
